The opening lines of one of William Blake’s most famous poems could have been written for him. Transformed into a formidable charmer, equipped with felted claws, Pretty Tiger carries the most influential bloodline of the moment, that of Sea The Stars, which reached the heights once again in 2025 thanks to Daryz (Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe), Aventure (Gr.1 Prix Vermeille, and Sosie (Gr.1 Prix Ganay, d’Ispahan, Hong Kong Vase). Echoing this, Pretty Tiger's book of mares sparkles with quality. In 2025, for his first season at Cercy, he covered mares of noble birth, including several sisters of Group 1 winners. In total, during his first two years at stud, his books include more than thirty mares which are either black-type, or are daughters or sisters of black-type performers. In terms of pedigree, Pretty Tiger meets the rigorous German requirements through his sire Sea The Moon, who links him to Sea The Stars. The young sire also offers a rare inbreeding (4x5) to the fantastic Allegretta (Lombard), who produced Urban Sea and her fabulous offspring led by Galileo and... Sea The Stars. A stallion prospect as fascinating as he is athletic (16.1½ hh), this also explains why he was purchased outright by Cercy in 2025. His first offspring, conceived in Normandy, will be yearlings in 2026.
